Raikhlin Aircraft Engine Developments GmbH is a center for the design, research, development, and production of high-performance engines and their components. The company specializes in meeting the most demanding requirements of the aviation, defense, and automotive industries. Development is conducted in accordance with CS-E and CS-23 as part of an EASA Part 21 design organization.
We are seeking a Compliance Verification Engineer (m/f/d) for our company to start as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Development of a safety-critical FADEC system (engine control unit) for CS-23 aircraft engines in accordance with ARP4754B, ARP4761, DO-178C, and DO-254
- Conducting system safety assessments for the FADEC
system and defining the Design Assurance Levels
(DAL) for hardware and software - Defining system requirements and developing a system
architecture that meets the required DALs - Requirements management using Polarion
- Applying model-based software development
techniques (using MATLAB/Simulink) for the FADEC
software - Software development utilizing both Simulink code
generation and manual coding techniques - Development, execution, and evaluation of software
and FADEC system tests - Preparation of relevant certification evidence
- Coordination of project-specific requirements with
internal RED departments and external partners
Qualification:
- Completed degree in Aerospace Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or
a related field - Extensive experience in systems or software
development within an aerospace context—ideally
involving propulsion systems - Knowledge of aerospace systems and standards
such as DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754B, and
ARP4761 is desirable - Excellent proficiency in MS Office, including VBA
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink
- Proficiency in Polarion
- Basic knowledge of/prior experience in avionics
hardware development - Language skills: Fluent English; German is
desirable
